Directors Gathering offers directors resources of connectivity, skill-sharing, and peer advocacy.

Directors Gathering (DG) is the only organization in the country that provides a consistent community for theatre directors to consistently examine their process, take risks, and explore projects that they would not otherwise do in their individual careers or companies. We encourage these directors to be in perpetual process, challenging them to reexamine how and why they work on projects, and give them the reinvigorating chance to return to their craft with new eyes.

Our vision is to create a theatre-director-centric community that fosters a vibrant, dynamic, caring, and inclusive ecosystem for theatre directors, promoting diverse ways of directing and sustaining a life-long journey in directing.

Meeting Regional Needs for Visionary Culture-Makers

Directors Gathering (DG) seeks to meet regional theatre centers throughout the country by building community among its member directors year-round at multiple stages of professional development. We offer a variety of continuous programming, encouraging theatre directors to engage deeply with our regionally-rooted organization to consistently hone their craft.
 

We pursue this vision, in part, by using our resources to create spaces where directors can:
 

  • Stretch their artistic muscles without the pressures of production;
  • Connect with an inclusive community of peer directors through (DG) Salons and virtual skill-sharing gatherings for theatre directors;
  • Engage in (DG) Studio that offers seminars and pick-up classes with directors with a diversity of stylistic, skill and expertise backgrounds;
  • Share and receive opportunities for projects, collaborations, and continuing education through the (DG) community database.​

Is my donation tax deductible?
Depends on a few factors like if you received a reward in exchange for the donation and the value of your donation above that rewards cost, etc. You may contact the nonprofit you donated to directly to receive information on whether or not your donation is tax deductible. Nonetheless, the emailed receipts you will receive for your donation is the documentation you need to make it tax deductible.

Is my donation and credit card info secure?
Yes, the security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

How do I know that my donation was made successfully?
You will receive an emailed receipt immediately after your donation is submitted and your credit card is processed. Your donation will also show up on your bank or card statement within 1-3 business days.

Do I get a receipt?
Yes, a receipt is sent to your email inbox once your donation is processed. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each period when your donation is processed.

Is my donation private?
We will not share or sell a donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.
